Computer & Electronics

About 90% of all the money spent on the Internet by the staff is on travel or computer\electronics parts. For the most part, I will buy computers from Dell and everything else at Buy.com. For some items there is a huge price difference on Ebay or the other discount stores. Most of the time there isn't. There are a few "High End Specialty" items that you can't find on the big sites. Below is the list of sites that get our money. If your looking for Web Design, Programming, or other IT services, please give the guys that helped get this website off the ground a shot.

www.Pricewatch.com

This is the best of the Cheap Computer Part sites. It's a big list of all the chop shop discounters. They used to get most of our IT dollars, but Dell is so cheap now that the others are starting to lose the battle. While we now buy our PC's from Dell we get things like memory and accessories from here. This is also the place to start if you want to  build your own "High end gamer PC." If you don’t know what that means... "Dude your getting a Dell."

www.Dell.com

We recommend Dell for home and small office purchases. Their barebones systems are under $500 and very nice. If you buy all the toys and software from Dell the price tag can sky rocket, but you don't have to install it all yourself.

www.Buy.com

The place to shop for electronics, computer parts are hit and miss as far as the price, but the service has not failed us yet.

www.IBM.com

Not to give Dell too much props, if you want to spend a lot more money IBM's products are better. Especially their laptops.

www.TigerDirect.com

The premier used computer store. Great Deals on used IBM Windows 2000 Thinkpads.
